First thing first. After signing up all exhibitors receive a letter with the following details. The Finance Indaba is organised on 13 & 14 OCTOBER 2016 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg. The Finance Indaba Africa is the biggest annual expo and conference for finance professionals. It brings together peers, technology suppliers, platforms, banks, tools, specialists, CFOs and thought leaders. We are very proud to organise this event and we are dedicated to make this event a huge success for our partners. This document sets out all the logistical information you need to know for a smooth operation. Please read the information carefully. All stands to be completed and ready for show by 18:00 on Wednesday 12 October SUMMARY OF WHAT HAPPENS NEXT When you sign up, the following actions will take place, although not necessarily in the sequence as set out below (some of these actions will have already taken place by the time you have received this logistics document):
OVERVIEW DEADLINES Please find below an overview of the deadlines. If possible, please send your information through prior to the deadlines. YOUR STAND | TWO WAY EXHIBITIONS & EVENTS As a partner you have a stand. Please find the floor plan. We want to help you with arranging an amazing stand and we have hired great stand builders to assist you with this. Melissa Crafford, from the company Two Way Exhibitions & Events will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. FOOD AND BEVERAGE AT THE EVENT Please be aware that food and beverage is not included in your sponsorship. The Sandton Convention Centre’s caterers, Main Event Catering, will be providing catering services at the event at a reasonable cost. There will be food and beverage stations at the event, however should you wish to arrange catering for your staff or perhaps during your presentations, you are welcome to arrange this directly with the caterers for your own cost. Your guests can select if they would like to register for one of the two days or both days, after which they will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Regardless of their initial choice, their E-tickets will be valid for both days in case they change their minds and wish to attend both days. Finance Indaba Africa reserves the right to actively manage registrations. Invitation codes and free entry are for designated partners, active finance professionals (CFO, FD, controllers, accountants, treasury, bookkeepers, financial specialists, etc) and those responsible for the finance of the business. We recommend that you start sending out your invitations as soon as possible. Not only is it important to get the event into people’s diaries, but we will also be sending out vital information to those who have registered in the coming months. You will receive a template invitation to send to guests which will include a link to register as well as a unique code. YOUR OWN PARTNER PORTAL As a Partner you have access to your own online portal so you can keep track of who has registered with your registration code. PROGRAM Currently we are working on the program which will be finalised by 1 October 2016. The program will be sent to all Exhibitors as soon as it has been finalised. A trailer is a short promotion text of max. 60 words including a brief, catchy title. These will appear in the event guide, on the website and on the Convene App to promote the sessions (excluding Silver partner) We suggest you have a host/moderator for the presentation. Once your speaker/s and moderator have been decided on, we will schedule a conference call to discuss the final content and format of the session. THOMSON REUTERS CONVENE APP We will be using the Thomson Reuters Convene App. The Convene App provides an easy-to-use, one-stop app for all the information: the event program, directory, FAQs, maps, polls, handouts, reference materials, personalised event schedule and much more.
